China’s Guangzhou Youdi Biotechnology Explores Opportunity of Establishing Visionary Medical Industrial Zone in Cambodia

Embarking on a strategic initiative, Guangzhou Youdi Biotechnology, a renowned medical company hailing from Guangzhou, China, has expressed its keen interest in delving into the prospect of establishing a cutting-edge medical industrial zone within Cambodia. The proposal unfolded during a meeting on 4 December 2023, between HE Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and Mr Li Laiqing, General Director of Guangzhou Youdi Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

The primary agenda of this high-profile meeting was to deliberate the company’s investment plans, focusing on the establishment of a state-of-the-art medical product manufacturing plant and diagnostic equipment. The envisioned plant aims to cater to the burgeoning demand for medical products both in Cambodia and the broader regional markets.

In a notable twist, Guangzhou Youdi Biotechnology also disclosed an ambitious objective—to explore the feasibility of creating a comprehensive medical industrial zone. This envisaged zone would encompass the production of medical equipment, cutting-edge research facilities, hospitals, and clinics, heralding a new era of medical innovation within the region.
