Chinese Bicycle Company Commits to Expanding Cambodian Factory to Match Shenzhen Headquarters in China

SHENZHEN XIDESHENG Bicycle Co., Ltd. (XDS), a leading Chinese bicycle manufacturer, has revealed ambitious plans to expand its Bavet-based factory, matching the scale of its headquarters in Shenzhen. This exciting news emerged during a pivotal discussion between Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and first Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, HE Sun Chanthol, and Ms. Chuqiao Li, Vice President of SHENZHEN XIDESHENG Bicycle Co., Ltd. (XDS) on 20 October 2023.

HE Sun Chanthol expressed his gratitude to XDS Bicycle Company for choosing to invest in Cambodia, which has already resulted in employment opportunities for approximately 1,400 individuals.

Acknowledging the potential of such investments, he also encouraged the company to share its insights and challenges. Doing so could contribute to the government’s ongoing efforts to foster an environment that attracts further investment, turning Cambodia into a Centre of Excellence in the region and the world while generating more employment opportunities for Cambodians.

In response, XDS Bicycle Company conveyed its intention to expand its Bavet-based factory, envisioning it as a counterpart to its vast Shenzhen headquarters.

Seizing this momentous occasion, HE Sun Chanthol proposed the concept of organizing an exclusive “XDS Bike Tour” in Siem Reap. This tour would serve four primary objectives: promoting XDS’s investments in Cambodia, boosting tourism in the nation, showcasing the company’s products, and raising funds for the Angkor Hospital for Children.
