Chinese Company Pledges to Complete Mondulkiri Wind Power Station by 2026

In a significant commitment to renewable energy in Cambodia, HK OASIS Power Energy Development Co., Ltd. has vowed to complete the construction of a 150-megawatt wind power station in Mondulkiri province by 2026. This pledge was made by Mr Wang Junwei, the company’s representative, during a meeting with HE Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Committee, on 17 January 2025.

During the meeting, Mr. Wang highlighted the importance of understanding the investment registration procedures at the Council for the Development of Cambodia. He expressed the company’s intention to ensure the project is recognised as qualified and successful, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, he confirmed the company’s determination to meet the 2026 completion deadline for the wind power station.

Responding to the commitment, HE Chea Vuthy acknowledged the surge in industrial investment in Cambodia, which has led to an increased demand for electricity, particularly from clean energy sources. He urged businesses to implement their investment projects effectively to meet this growing demand.

HE Chea Vuthy also reassured the company that the Council for the Development of Cambodia officials are ready to facilitate the investment registration process, welcoming their application.

As Cambodia strives to enhance its energy infrastructure, this project represents a step forward in expanding its clean energy capacity, aligning with the global shift towards sustainable energy solutions.
