Chinese-funded Morodok Techo Stadium 90% Complete

Construction of the US$160-million Chinese-funded Morodok Techo Stadium is now 90% complete and is expected to be finished in May this year.

Mr Va Heng Davuth, Vice President of the 32nd SEA Games Committee told National Radio that the process has been going smoothly lately.

“The main structure is already 100% completed. The remaining works are only the decoration and interior tasks,” said Mr Davuth.

The stadium is being built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation on over 94 hectares in Prek Ta Sek commune, Russey Keo district with US$160 million of Chinese grant aid.

With ground broken in April 2017, the stadium will be able to accommodate over 60,000 visitors upon completion and will be ready to host the 32nd SEA Games in 2023. (Read more)
