Chinese Medical Equipment Manufacturer Explores Opportunities in Cambodia

In a significant step towards improving healthcare in Cambodia, Henan Taiyi Medical Technology Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese medical equipment manufacturer, has proposed a collaborative initiative focused on installing oxygen supply systems in public hospitals and establishing nursing homes across the country.

This announcement follows a crucial meeting on November 18, 2024, between His Excellency Professor Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, and Mr. Lian Yu Lin, General Director of the company. During their discussion, Mr. Lian reaffirmed the commitment of Henan Taiyi to work closely with the Ministry of Health to address the oxygen supply needs of various public hospitals that may still lack adequate systems.

Professor Chheang Ra warmly welcomed the initiative, expressing support for the cooperation centered around the oxygen production project. He emphasized the importance of ensuring high-quality oxygen delivery: “Oxygen is not just a resource; it’s a vital medicine for treating and saving patients’ lives.”

As part of the collaboration, the Health Minister made several key recommendations to ensure the project’s success. These include:

1. Preliminary Discussions: The company is encouraged to engage with technical experts from the Ministry to identify hospitals with specific oxygen needs.

2. Focus on Equipment Quality: Attention to the precision and reliability of the equipment is crucial, given the critical role of oxygen in patient care.

3. Pilot Implementation: The project should begin with a pilot phase, allowing for careful assessment before scaling up to larger installations.

4. Study Tours: The company should visit hospitals with advanced oxygen systems and those requiring assistance to understand the operational landscape better.

This strategic partnership aims to significantly enhance Cambodia’s health infrastructure by ensuring a consistent and reliable oxygen supply, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes nationwide.
