CMAC to Build World’s Largest Mine Museum in Siem Reap

The Cambodian Mine Action Authority (CMAC) is preparing to build a peace museum on 12 hectares of land in Siem Reap under a grant from the Japanese government totalling nearly US$20 million. 

HE Heng Ratana, the Royal Government delegate in charge of the Director General of the Cambodian Mine Authority, told Construction & Property Magazine on 19 December, this project will be the world’s largest mine-shaped museum. 

The project will be located in Trapeang Thom commune, Prasat Bakong district, Siem Reap. The construction will take three years to be completed. 

The unique feature of this museum is that it will be a place to gather historical evidence for this and future generations to learn about the past.
