Construction of 34 roads in Sihanoukville Completed by March

The construction of 34 roads in Sihanoukville will be completed by 15 March and scheduled to officially open for traffic during the upcoming Khmer New Year, according to Sihanoukville Governor HE Kouch Chamroeun.

During a site inspection, HE Kouch Chamroeun urged each company to accelerate their working pace to ensure that the remaining tasks will be completed by the end of March, ahead of Khmer New Year.

“Although the roads have been built, there are still extra tasks needing to be done, such as public toilets, street light installation, security cameras, traffic sign, and so on,” said the governor.

Besides this project, the government has also decided to allocate another US$100 million to renovate 11 more roads in Sihanoukville. As of mid-January, the process was 11% complete. (Read more)
