New US$60 Million Ministry of Interior Headquarters Nears Completion at Over 80%

Construction on the new Ministry of Interior headquarters in Phnom Penh is over 80% complete and is on track to finish by the end of June 2023. The progress of the construction was reviewed in a meeting on 29 March 2023.

The new office building, which is being built on the old site along Norodom Street in Tonle Bassac, Chamkarmon, will replace the current headquarters and cost over US$60 million.

According to the meeting, the construction has been progressing smoothly, and the new building is expected to be a modern, efficient and sustainable workplace for the Ministry of Interior.

The completion of the new Ministry of Interior headquarters is expected to be a significant milestone for Cambodia’s infrastructure development and contribute to the government’s efforts to modernize its administrative services.
