Booyoung Group’s Milestone Agreement: 1,000 Modern Buses to Enhance Cambodia’s Transportation Network

Booyoung Khmer II Co., Ltd., a prominent subsidiary of BOOYOUNG GROUP from the Republic of Korea, has inked a significant agreement with the Cambodian government to provide a total of 1,000 buses in three phases. The official press release by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on June 29, 2023, sheds light on this remarkable collaboration.

Under this agreement, Booyoung Khmer II Co., Ltd. will directly procure 1,000 new MMC Co-star bus 6M (Model X66502VD) units from the car factory, ensuring top-notch quality for the Royal Government of Cambodia. The deployment of these buses will occur in a phased manner, with 400 vehicles scheduled for delivery in 2023, followed by an additional 300 units in 2024. The remaining 300 buses are set to be handed over in 2025.

The distribution of these modern buses will encompass all capital-provincial administrations, thereby bolstering the ease of commuting for individuals residing within these areas.

Booyoung Group’s commitment to Cambodia goes beyond this bus agreement. In the past, the group had generously donated 200 public buses to Phnom Penh Capital Hall, facilitating transportation for the public, especially during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic. (Read more)
