Kampong Speu to Welcome 10 Hong Kong Companies, Generating Over 10,000 Jobs

Kampong Speu province is set to welcome at least 10 companies from Hong Kong in the near future, according to HE Vy Samnang, the Governor of Kampong Speu, in a Facebook post on 2 April 2023. The companies will invest in the clothing, shoes, and bags industry, generating more than 10,000 job opportunities for the locals.

Apart from the clothing industry, some companies also expressed their interest in investing in construction and real estate. Kampong Speu province already boasts 383 factories, enterprises, and establishments with a total capital of nearly US$2 billion as of February 9, 2023. With the addition of these new investments, the province is expected to experience a significant boost in its economic growth. (Read more)

Governor Vy Samnang recently led a delegation to visit various companies in Hong Kong to promote investment opportunities in Kampong Speu. The Governor expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming investment, highlighting that this will bring more job opportunities to the locals and contribute to the growth of the province’s economy.

To welcome this new influx of investment from Hong Kong, the provincial administration committed to continuing to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
