Expansion work begins for 55km NR8 section from Prek Tameak to Svay Antor

Upgrade and expansion project of NR8 Prek Tamak Bridge- Svay Antor and NR70B has officially begun.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the two roads was held on 12 February under the presidency of Dr Aun Pornmoniroth, Minister of Economy and Finance.

The renovated NR8 section is 55 km long from the Prek Tamak bridge of Kandal province to Svay Antor of Prey Veng province. The expansion will cost around US$12 million.

Meanwhile, NR70B is 2,000m long and 10m wide, being constructed with a budget of over US$2 million.

On the same day, the Kandal provincial administration also inaugurated the 2,400-meter-long park and concrete road in Prek Tamak village, Prek Tamak commune, Khsach Kandal district, Kandal province.
