Four New Factories Worth Nearly US$26m Set to Catalyse Growth in Kampong Speu & Takeo Provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has given the green light to four forward-thinking companies, marking a significant infusion of nearly US$26 million in investments. These strategic initiatives are poised to create 5,613 job opportunities, benefiting residents in Kandal, Kampong Speu, and the capital city of Phnom Penh.

The CDC announcement, made on 11 October 2023, serves as a beacon of economic optimism, underlining Cambodia’s continued attractiveness to investors.

The companies investing are:

  1. JINZHENG HOME DECORATION (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: With an investment of US$8.9 million, this company is set to construct a factory in Trapeang Pring village, Popel commune, Tram Kak district, Takeo province. Their specialization lies in the production of lamps, electronics, spare parts, and electrical equipment, crafted from plastic, acrylic, and crystal, offering employment to 1,240 individuals.
  2. BESWIN FASHION (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: A significant investment of US$5.9 million will establish a garment factory in Prey Popay village, Tuol Ampil commune, Bor Seth district, Kampong Speu province. Their expertise lies in the manufacturing of pillowcases, mattresses, blankets, and curtains, and this venture is expected to create 2,636 jobs.
  3. PET NEW MATERIALS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: A substantial investment of US$5.8 million will lead to the establishment of a factory producing solar panels in Prey Pong village, Sambo commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province. This endeavor will provide employment for 151 individuals.
  4. MAXWILL GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: With an investment of US$5.3 million, this company is set to establish a garment factory located in Lot 1, Buildings 2 and 4, National Road 4, Vall Sor village, Vall Sor commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province. This venture is expected to create job opportunities for 1,586 individuals.
