FTB Buys US$10 million More of CAIC Bonds to Fund New Airport Development

FTB Bank has invested another US$10 million in bonds of Cambodia Airport Investment Co Ltd (CAI) to support the development of the Techo International Airport in Kandal province.

With this additional investment, FTB’s fund in the new airport has increased to US$30 million from its previous investment of US$20 million, according to a press release issued on 26 January. (Read more)

The funds raised from the bond will be used for the construction and development of Techo International Airport.

The coupon rate of the CAIC bond is 5.5% per annum with a three-year tenure and guaranteed by OCIC.

Techo International Airport project is currently 30% completed with a total amount of US$390 million spent excluding the cost of purchasing the land.
