Kampong Speu Inaugurates Garment Factory Worth US$36m

Aroma Success Garment Co., LTD, a new factory under Sabrina Group, has officially opened its doors in Kampong Speu, investing over US$36 million in the local economy. The inauguration ceremony was held on 9 March 2023, with the presence of HE Hun Manet, Deputy Commander of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces and Commander of the Army. 

Located in Taing Sno village, Tum Por Meas commune, Samrong Tong district, the new factory is expected to create over 3,000 new jobs in the province. Sabrina Group has been operating in Cambodia for 25 years and has already generated 14,000 employment opportunities for Cambodian citizens. 

During his speech, HE Hun Manet highlighted the supportive measures provided by the government for the garment sector, such as tax exemptions, streamlined procedures, and facilitated import of raw materials. In addition, he announced that the minimum wage for garment workers would increase to US$200 monthly for full-time workers in 2023, excluding other benefits. 

The inauguration of the Aroma Success Garment factory marks another significant investment in Cambodia’s economy, creating employment opportunities and boosting the country’s manufacturing sector.
