Government Gives Green Light to Tourism Port Project in Kandal Province

Prime Minister Hun Sen has encouraged Prince Real Estate Group to invest in a tourism port on the site of the newly opened entertainment centre Prince Manor in Kien Svay District to promote tourism.

“Prince Manor has also invested in an attractive area which also contributes to Cambodia’s tourism sector as well as agriculture. I would like to encourage you to continue this investment,” PM Hun Sen said during the grand opening ceremony of Prince Manor on 07 October.

“I believe that this place can be organised as a tourism port in the future because there will be tourists using the port there. This also connects the corridor of the cruise ships, which allows cruise ships to dock. Some tourists can also stay here for a few nights as there will be hotels as well,” he added.

Samdech Hun also asked the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and all the relevant provincial authorities to facilitate the process as well.

This tourism port project was actually a plan of Prince Real Estate Group some time ago already, and the firm plans to build it from around 2020 to 2023. (Read more)
