Government to construct three more national roads next year

The government plans to build three national roads next year including N.R. 41 connecting from N.R. 4 to N.R. 3, N.R. 31 connecting from Bek Kous to Kampong Trach, and N.R. 33 connecting from Kampot to Kep.

The Public Works and Transport Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol announced this master plan during the press conference on the progress and future direction of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport at the Council of Ministers in February.

“The negotiation and feasibility study of three projects have been completed. At this stage, the ministry is waiting for the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia to sign the loan agreement,” said H.E. Sun Chanthol.

However, the Minister did not mention the exact amount of budget spending project yet.

On 2 April 2019, Prime Ministry Samdech Hun Sen also announced that the government was preparing another route to connect Kampot to National Road 4 (around Pich Nil). (Read more)
