Gov’t Approves Four Projects Worth Over US$17 million in Phnom Penh & Kandal Province

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on 31 May 2022 approved the investment of US$ 17.1 million by private companies to establish four new factories in Kandal and Phnom Penh.

According to the investment proposal of the companies, the Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia decided to issue investment project registration certificates to the following companies:

1. KING SUCCESS CO., LTD. will establish a garment and sewing factory in 3 villages, Svay Rolum commune, Takhmao city, Kandal province, with an investment capital of approximately US$6 million.
2. MATEWE BAG & CASE (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD will establish a bag factory in Damnak village, Kork Khleang commune, Sen Sok district, Phnom Penh, with an investment capital of approximately US$4.4 million.
3. SINOPROUD APPAREL (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD. will establish a garment factory on Street 115, Prek Reang village, Kampong Samnang commune, Takhmao city, Kandal province, with an investment capital of approximately US$3.5 million.
4. JI SHUN YUAN (CAMBODIA) GARMENT CO., LTD. will establish a garment factory in Tram 4 village, Stung Meanchey III commune, Meanchey district, Phnom Penh, with an investment capital of approximately US$3.2 million.

According to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the four new projects will create 4,990 jobs.
