Gov’t Approves Three Major Investment Projects Worth Approx. US$8 Million

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has recently approved three major investment projects worth approximately US$8 million in Phnom Penh, Kandal and Kampong Speu.

The first permit was given to Vanzel Printing & Packaging (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, which will invest US$2.1 million to build a garment and printing accessories factory along NR3 in Kandal Steung district, Kandal province.

Another permit was granted to Windmill-Fy (Cambodia) Garments Co., Ltd, which will invest US$2.5 million to build a garment factory in Prey Khla village, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province.

The third is Sparkbags (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, which will invest US$3.3 million to build a bag factory in Kamboul district in Phnom Penh.

According to the CDC, the three projects will create over 1,800 jobs for Cambodians.

In early April, the CDC officially approved private firms to invest in building two factories, worth a total budget of approximately US$12.6 million in Kandal and Sihanoukville. (Read more)

For 2021, as of the beginning of April, the CDC has already approved at least 32 major projects, including the above projects with total investment capital of over US$2 billion.
