Japan Providing US$35million Grant Aid to Repair Seven Bridges in Prey Veng and Kratie

The Japanese government is currently providing approximately US$35 million in grant aid to restore seven bridges in Prey Veng and Kratie provinces which under the risk of flooding.

Senior Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol mentioned this during the handover ceremony of road construction machinery on the morning of 12 October. (Read more)

“Currently, Japan is providing grants for seven emergency bridge reconstruction projects in flood-prone areas, especially in Prey Veng and Kratie provinces. This project cost approximately US$35 million,” HE Sun Chanthol said.

According to the minister, as of today, Japan provided at least US$1 billion in funds, including grant aid and loans for Cambodia infrastructure development. (Read more)
