Japan Seeking Investment Opportunities in Clean Energy in Cambodia

Japanese investors are interested in the development of clean energy and energy technology with high efficiency and carbon neutrality in Cambodia.

The remarks were made by a delegation of Japanese investors led by HE Fumaiki Takahashi, President of the Japan-Cambodia Association and former Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia in a meeting with HE Suy Sem, Minister of Mines and Energy on 25 April.

HE Suy Sem welcomed and requested the Japanese association to continue to attract more investors to Cambodia, including investment in the mining and oil industry.

He also showed high appreciation to the Japanese government for the assistance including the study of mining potential, financial assistance for the construction of power plants, construction of transmission lines, and electrical equipment.
