Japanese Experts Share Insights & Urban Development Tips with Cambodia

Japanese urban planning and development officials and experts have shared their experiences and provided recommendations for Cambodia to help enhance city planning as Cambodia is moving toward smart city development.

The insight within the construction and urban planning sector was discussed at the 3rd Public-Private Forum on “Cambodia-Japan Urban Development’ held virtually on 16 February.

The public-private forum was organised by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, in collaboration with Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, with the participation of the private sector and capital/provincial officials.

In the forum, Japanese officials and experts presented the design and development of Japan’s smart cities, development projects, infrastructure planning, and recommendations for the future development of Cambodia.

Besides, officials of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Battambang provinces also presented on the progress of smart city planning in their provinces.
