Huge New Affordable Housing Project Proposal Under Review in Kampong Chhnang

A huge new affordable housing project proposed for Kompong Chhnang city is currently under review by the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.

The proposed 22-hectare site is located in Phsar Chhnang commune in Kampong Chhnang city and was recently inspected by the technical team led by Director of the General Department of Housing HE Khemro Beng Hong Socheat on 18 February.

According to HE Hong Socheat, the government is currently inspecting the general geographical situation of the proposed site, studying the infrastructure development around the area, and preparing the legal documents, before considering final approval.

In Cambodia, the demand for affordable housing has been steadily increasing as the number of middle-class citizens continues to grow. (Read more)
