Kampong Speu Stadium​ Construction 90% Complete, Scheduled for Inauguration in September

The international standard stadium, initiated by HE Hun Many, member of parliament for Kampong Speu province and President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia, is now 90% complete.

The stadium is scheduled to be inaugurated officially in September this year, according to HE Vei Samnang, Governor of Kampong Speu province, stating that the remaining construction work is related to decoration, such as grass and tree planting.

“So far, about 90% of the construction works were completed with the remaining works related to cleaning, planting grass, and planting trees. The construction is expected to be completed soon. As planned, we will inaugurate the stadium in September,” he said.

The international standard stadium was built with a grant of more than US$2 million from the NagaWorld Foundation, which is scheduled to be completed in time for Cambodia to host the 2023 SEA Games. (Read more)
