Kampot Studying Centralised Administrative Area and New Stadium Project

Cambodia Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen has ordered the Kampot Provincial Administration to study the feasibility of organising a centralized administrative area and constructing a new stadium in the province.

Kampot Governor Cheav Tay said on 12 September that the team is actively working on this request, and the result will be presented to PM Samdech Hun Sen upon completion.

The Kampot Provincial Administration is also currently studying the feasibility of constructing two new more bridges. The first is the Kampong Bay River bridge, being considered by China Road Company. Meanwhile, the second is a bridge by the Engineering Division of the Ministry of National Defense, the study of which is 70% complete.

Upon completion, the two project studies results will be passed to Kampot provincial officials and submitted to the Prime Minister for approval.

According to Mr Oeng Chhay, the construction of Kampong Bay River bridge aims to solve traffic congestion around the Kampong Bay area, particularly during the weekend. (Read more)
