Macau Casino Group Acquires Land in Siem Reap to Develop an Integrated Resort Project

A Macau-based casino firm named Macau Legend Development Ltd has recently purchased 1,200 hectares of land in Siem Reap, Cambodia with the intention to develop an integrated resort, according to Macau News Agency.

The land has been purchased the land from Howing Enterprises Co. Ltd for a price of approximately US$90 million. Currently, the two firms are in the process of transferring the property rights.

According to their initial announcement, the integrated resort is likely to be a mixed-use development comprising casino space and non-gaming facilities, though there are no clear details on the project yet. However, according to the promotional materials, the resort may be include a seven storey-building with several wings with theme of “Hidden Legend”. (Read more)

The company added that their project in Siem Reap is part of the company’s long-term investment plan as they recognise the high potential of Siem Reap province.

Macau Legend Development Ltd is the operator of many major entertainment and casino gaming facilities including an integrated hotel, casino, and luxury shopping in Macau.
