Malaysian Dairy Giant Farm Fresh Injects $68 Million to Build Cambodia’s Largest Dairy Farm in Pursat

In partnership with Alpha Group and Sonavith Co., Ltd., the 1,000-hectare integrated project will feature international-standard cattle farming and milk processing to boost domestic supply and create local jobs

Cambodia’s agricultural sector is set for a historic transformation as Malaysian dairy leader Farm Fresh Berhad (Farm Fresh Malaysia), in collaboration with Cambodia’s Alpha Group and local enterprise SONAVITH Co., Ltd., launches a major $68 million venture to establish the Kingdom’s largest dairy farm in Pursat province. Operating under the enterprise entity FARM FRESH (PURSAT), the integrated project will span 1,000 hectares, combining modern dairy cattle breeding with a state-of-the-art milk processing plant. The strategic initiative marks a pivotal step forward in bolstering Cambodia’s domestic dairy production capabilities and enhancing national food security.

Emphasizing the socio-economic impact of the investment on August 5, 2026, Pursat Provincial Governor HE Khoy Rida stated that establishing the nation’s premier large-scale dairy operation represents a historic milestone for both Pursat province and Cambodia. Governor Khoy Rida highlighted that the project will create numerous employment opportunities for local residents, facilitate technological transfer in modern livestock husbandry, and serve as a major driver for local economic development.

Loi Tuan Ee, Director of the Malaysian company, expressed delight in expanding operations into Pursat province, attributing the decision to the strong investment incentives and efficient facilitation provided by the Royal Government of Cambodia. As a prominent dairy manufacturer in Southeast Asia, Loi Tuan Ee noted that establishing this landmark facility will help elevate Pursat’s reputation on both the regional and global stage.

With a total capital outlay of $68 million, the 1,000-hectare FARM FRESH (PURSAT) development will integrate raw milk production and local processing facilities on site. By building an end-to-end fresh milk supply chain within the country, the project seeks to meet increasing domestic consumer demand for high-quality dairy products while reducing reliance on foreign imports.
