Malaysian Firm to Enter Cambodia Casino Resort Market

Malaysian-based WA Hospitality has recently signed a contract with Cambodian real estate developer Won Majestic to manage a five-star Won Majestic Casino Hotel & Resort in Sihanoukville, reported TTG Asia.

Located opposite the renowned Sokha Beach Resort, the 150-key Won Majestic Casino Hotel & Resort will comprise of both casino and hotel facilities, together with other amenities such as KTV lounge with an advanced karaoke system, F&B outlets, an infinity rooftop pool and a 24-hour fully equipped gym overlooking the beachfront.

The hotel is currently under construction and is expected to open for service in early 2021.

“It is not your typical casino hotel as this one will be right next to the beach and it will be an upscale, five-star property. The hotel concept is to provide entertainment and excellent personalised service,” WA Hospitality’s executive director Ally Bhoonee told TTG Asia.

According to Bhoonee, the property is expected to have 80% occupancy in the first year of operations.

WA Hospitality was established in 2015 as a subsidiary company of World Avenues registered in the UK in 1995.
