Ministry of Environment green-lights seven ecotourism investments in Bokor National Park

The government has given the green light to private firms to establish seven ecotourism projects in Monivong Bokor National Park while the Ministry of Environment (MoE) is currently inspecting and demarcating the actual site.

HE Neth Pheaktra, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment, said on January 17 that these projects are small-scale projects with a land size of less than 10ha each.

“Given the small scale, the projects will not harm the environment, but instead will help preserve the ecology in the national park in a way,” said HE Pheaktra.

In October last year, MoE also approved the development plan for 5 small-scale ecotourism investments in Monivong Bokor National Park. (Read more)

Bokor is a newly-established city with high potential that haស been thus far attracting many investment projects. Recently, US$1.3-billion multi-purpose port and logistic hub have just been approved for this city. (Read more)
