MPWT, TOTAL Discuss Development of EV Charging Facilities in Cambodia

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport and TOTAL Energies (Cambodia) Co Ltd discussed the development of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in various TOTAL gas stations nationwide.

The discussion was held during a meeting on 3 March between HE Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport and Mr Jean Lescure, representative of the France-based firm.

In the meeting, the two discussed the enhancement of the development plan for EV charging stations, as well as works between the ministry and the companies related to the installation of EV charging stations to promote the wider use of EVs in Cambodia and contribute to reducing environmental pollution.

HE Sun Chanthol briefed his guests on the cooperation to promote the use of EVs between the ministry and the UNDP, private companies, gas stations on the installation of equipment for EVs and the master plan for supporting the use of EVs. (Read more)
