MPWT Updates Road Network System to Ensure Effective Management & Repair

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) is updating lists of the national, provincial, and other roads to compile a comprehensive road network guideline for effective and efficient management.

The ministry conducted a meeting on 3 November, chaired by MPWT Secretary of State HE Lim Sidenin and attended by relevant officials from the capital and provincial departments of public works and transport.

The meeting was held to review the progress of the mapping of national, provincial, and other roads, and to produce a comprehensive map to facilitate the effective management, repair, and maintenance of roads.

The proper road network map will provide enough data for MPWT to control and take action accurately especially for damaged roads.

MPWT Minister HE Sun Chanthol has always urged provincial officials to regularly inspect damaged roads and traffic signs to facilitate people’s travel and reduce traffic accidents.
