Construction of New US$60m Interior Ministry HQ 60% Complete

 The construction of the new Ministry of Interior administrative building has been completed 60% as of early November and is scheduled to be completed as planned in August 2023.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Samdech Sar Kheng provided the progress update during the construction site inspection on 3 November.

“The new administrative building is being built in current the Ministry of Interior complex located along Norodom Blvd under a budget of over US$60 million,” said Samdech Sar Kheng.

The building is 153m by 83m and is 9 floors high with underground parking that accommodates over 330 vehicles. The building is a classic Khmer-style architectural construction following the pattern of Angkor Wat.

The construction began in November 2021.
