Nine New Factories with US$54.43M Investment Set to Create Over 13,000 Jobs in Five Provinces

In a significant boost to Cambodia’s industrial sector, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to nine companies poised to invest a total of US$54.43 million. These ventures are expected to generate a substantial job market, providing employment opportunities for 13,888 individuals across several provinces, including Kampong Speu, Kandal, Takeo, Sihanoukville & Phnom Penh.

The CDC announcement, made on 7 September 2023, signals a positive development in Cambodia’s economic landscape.

Among the notable investors are:

  1. HANTANG YIPIN LEISURE PRODUCTS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: This company will inject US$8.9 million into establishing a factory for assembling and installing consumables such as chairs, tables, and accessories. The factory will be situated in Serey Phat village, Po Angkrang commune, Bor Seth district, Kampong Speu province.
  2. APOLLO PET PRODUCTS (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: With a US$8 million investment, this firm plans to set up a factory for producing pet feed and supplies in Sihanoukville, Sihanoukville Province.
  3. PRIME STORAGE SOLUTION (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: An investment of US$5.8 million will fund the construction of a factory producing home appliances from recycled metal, particularly shelves. This facility will be located in Otapoung village, Rokar Koh commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province.
  4. INTEGRITY UNION PACKAGING MATERIAL CO., LTD: Committing US$5.7 million, this company will establish a factory for the production of various packaging materials. The factory’s location is Lum Road, Prey Khvav village, Rokar Koh commune, Kong Pisey district, Kampong Speu province.
  5. NEOCAMBO TEXTILE CO., LTD: A US$5.4 million investment will go into the creation of a versatile garment and hat factory, situated in Trapeang Angkrang village, Sangkat Kraing Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
  6. FONTERNIG GARMENT CO., LTD: This firm is earmarking US$5.3 million for a garment factory to be located on National Road 2, Khleang Sambath village, Pot Sor commune, Bati district, Takeo province.
  7. XIANGRUIFENG PACKAGING TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD: A US$5.1 million investment will fund the manufacturing of paper products, including mats, clothes, shoes, bags, markers, and packaging materials. The factory will be situated in Damnak Troyeung village, Sangkat Choam Chao II, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.
  8. INSPIROR BAG (CAMBODIA) MANUFACTURING CO., LTD: With a US$5.03 million commitment, this company will establish a factory producing a wide range of bags. The factory’s location is Prey Chamkar village, Lumhach commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province.
  9. HONGRUI BAG (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD: This company plans to invest US$5.02 million in a factory to produce bags, toys, and pet clothing made from fabric. The factory will be situated in Bak Chanchean village, Trapeang Kong commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.
