OCIC to develop airport economy zone 10 times bigger than Koh Pich

Cambodia’s leading real estate developer Overseas Cambodia Investment Company (OCIC) will develop an airport economy zone in Kandal ten times bigger than Koh Pich, according to the company’s Chairman Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se.

Neak Oknha Pung Keav Se made the announcement on the sidelines of the Cambodia Construction Industry held at the Koh Pich Exhibition and Convention Center on 05 December.

His statement comes as construction is under way on the New Phnom Penh International Airport in Kandal Province which is set to be completed by 2023 in time for Cambodia hosting the 2023 ASEAN Games. (Read more)

Speaking with confidence that the project will undoubtedly succeed, Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se said the airport economy zone will span across more than 1,000 hectares and feature commercial facilities as well as affordable housing projects.

OCIC is the developer of the new US$1.5 billion airport that will span across 2,600 hectares of land of which 700 hectares will be airport facilities with the rest earmarked for commercial and residential projects. (Read more)
