Phnom Penh administration inaugurates Street 1080 in the west of Phnom Penh

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration inaugurated street number 1080, stretching more than 6 km long linking the Win-Win Blvd to Street 42.

The inauguration ceremony of the concrete road was held on June 1, 2022, in Sangkat Sno, Kampoul district, Phnom Penh under the presidency of HE Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh.

HE Khuong Sreng instructed the competent forces, especially the local authorities, to take good care of the road, especially to check for overweight goods transport such as trucks transporting soil, sand, and stones.

HE Khuong Sreng added that developing countries do not prohibit the transportation, but must transport properly, do not exceed the legal limit, which damages the road, which cannot be used last long.

With a length of 6,490 meters and a width of 12 meters, the street was announced to open on the morning of September 2021, passing through Samrong Krom commune, Por Senchey district, Sno commune, Kambol district, and Pon Saing commune, Prek Pnov district.

The road will be the main road for traffic from residential areas to shopping malls, business centres, offices, and roads for tourism and transportation of products to supply Phnom Penh.
