PM Hun Sen Approves US$150 million Budget for Constructing 38 Roads in Siem Reap

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen approved a US$150-million national budget to develop 38 roads in Siem Reap province on 04 September.

With a total length of 98km, the project has been studied by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport for a while. These 38 roads will be interconnected with other main road systems in Siem Reap province. (Read more)

According to PM Samdech Hun Sen, upon completion, this collective infrastructure will highly ease people’s livelihoods and boost national economic growth after the COVID-19 crisis

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held very soon, while the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2021.

Siem Reap is one of the provinces that have high potential in Cambodia, into which the government has been putting continuous effort in enhancing infrastructure. In July this year, at least 20 major investment projects have been proposed as part of the 2020-2035 Siem Reap Tourism Development Masterplan (Read more)
