PM Hun Sen Encourages Malaysia to Invest in Cambodia’s Construction & Real Estate Sectors

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Hun Sen has encouraged Malaysian investors to take part more in the construction, real estate, and other potential sectors in Cambodia, citing that total Malaysian investment in Cambodia currently ranks third.

Addressing a joint press conference with Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on 24 February, PM Hun Sen said Malaysian companies should consider opening more businesses in Cambodia.

He added that sectors such as real estate, construction, auto spare part, infrastructure, and halal food, are all potential investment opportunities.

PM Hun Sen stated that in the last five years, Malaysia’s investment ranks third in terms of foreign direct investment in Cambodia.
