Qatari Company Aims to Boost Cambodia’s Tourism through Infrastructure Investments

AI Mansour Asia, a prominent Qatari investment firm, has unveiled plans to significantly invest in Cambodia’s infrastructure development with the goal of enhancing the country’s tourism sector. This initiative was discussed during a recent meeting between Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Mr. Fahd Al Dosari, Head of Communications and Special Advisor to Sheikh Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani, along with a delegation from AI Mansour Asia.

Mr. Fahd Al Dosari expressed the company’s keen interest in contributing to various sectors, including agriculture, industry, logistics, and infrastructure projects that support tourism. The proposed projects encompass the development of hotels, entertainment venues, and airports, as well as island development initiatives. He emphasized the company’s confidence in Cambodia’s stability and growth potential, marking the nation as a priority for its investments in Southeast Asia.

Following their meeting, Mr. Al Dosari engaged with His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, to gain deeper insights into the country’s investment climate. Their discussions focused on identifying opportunities within the agriculture, industry, infrastructure, and logistics sectors.

Welcoming the delegation, Samdech Techo highlighted the importance of this collaboration and encouraged AI Mansour Asia to explore investments in food processing and agricultural raw materials. Given Cambodia’s rich rice production and Qatar’s high demand for food, he proposed establishing rice milling operations in Cambodia that could serve as a critical food supply link to Middle Eastern nations.

As Cambodia positions itself as an attractive destination for foreign investment, this partnership with AI Mansour Asia could pave the way for enhanced economic cooperation and development, boosting tourism and creating new opportunities for both countries.
