Rattanakiri Complete Over 2600 Development Projects With US$62M Investment in Five Year

In the last five years, between 2018 and 2022, the Rattanakiri province has requested to implement a total of 13 994 development projects which required a total investment budget of US$ 311.85 million. For all that, only 2 614 projects had been completed by using a total capital of US$ 62.46 million.

Speaking at a press conference on “Five Years of Success of Rattanakiri Provincial Administration” on 04 April 2023, Rattanakiri provincial governor noted that in the last 5 years, the provincial administration had requested a total of 1 283 development projects, with a total investment capital of US$209.38 million.

Out of the total requested projects, there are a total of 663 projects which had been approved and supported by the relevant institutions and organizations in the consultative forum, and as of today, 360 projects have been completed, using a total budget of US$43.70million, the governor added.

H.E. added that in the last 5 years, 12,711 projects proposed by the commune administration amounted to a total capital of more than US$ 102.47 million as only 4,823 projects have been supported and approved by institutions and organizations in the integration seminar while a total of 2,244 projects has been implemented with a budget of US$18.76 million.

H.E. Governor confirmed that all these development projects are implemented to improve transportation, and traffic, and provide services to people at the local and regional levels.

In addition, despite the challenge of the pandemic, the provincial economy grew to US$270 million, as GDP per capita income rose to US$1,360, growing by an average of 8 percent annually, said the provincial Governor.
