Renovation Work Begins on Five Major Roads in Kampong Speu

The renovation work on five major provincial roads with a total length of approximately 20 km in Kampong Speu province has officially begun, while a new concrete bridge is at the final construction stage and scheduled for completion in May.

Kampong Speu Provincial Governor HE Vy Samnang said at the ground-breaking ceremony on 23 March that the rehabilitation of these roads is to facilitate people’s travel and promote the local economy.

The five roads include:

1. Provincial Road No. 143 in Kong Pisey district (to be paved with gravel for the length of 3,300m)

2. Provincial Road No. 143 connecting with Tsubasa Bridge in Samrong Tong district (to be paved with DBST for the length 2,600m)

3. Provincial Road No. 1440 in Odong district (to be paved with DBST for the length of 2900m)

4. Provincial road No. 1440 in Chbar Morn city and Samrong Tong district (to be paved with DBST (Reseal) for the length 5,874 km)

5. 5km of NR44 in Chbar Morn town, Oral district, Thpong district and Udong district (to be paved with 2 layers of DBST)

Meanwhile, the new 36-metre-long Ampe Phnom concrete bridge in Chbar Morn city, Svay Kravan commune, is at the final pavement stage and is scheduled to be completed in May next year.
