Royal Railway and Three Companies Sign MOU to Develop Land Along Railway Line

Royal Railway Cambodia PLC, a subsidiary of Royal Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on April 28 with Samaiden Energy (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Management Venture Asia (Cambodia) Ltd., and Panna Energy Sdn. Bhd. to conduct a feasibility study on the potential for renewable energy and other sustainable economic activities along the unused land along the railway line from Poipet to Sihanoukville.

According to the Royal Group, the project has great potential for renewable energy and agriculture, which can be developed on the unused land along the railway. By allowing the three companies to conduct a preliminary study, Royal Group aims to explore the possibility of installing small solar panels, utilities, infrastructure for rent, and other sustainable economic activities.

Royal Group says the project has great potential for renewable energy and agriculture, which is a good opportunity to use the land for development projects such as renewable energy and agriculture.

Samaiden Energy (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., stated that the MOU paves the way for future collaborations that will ultimately foster green energy development in Cambodia. The three companies are confident that the project will generate significant interest in the development of renewable energy in Cambodia.

Cambodia currently has two rail lines: the 386-kilometer-long northern railway from Phnom Penh to Poipet and the 264-kilometer-long southern railway. The northern railway was built between 1929 and 1942, while the southern railway was built from 1960-1969.

The project will provide significant opportunities for renewable energy and agricultural development in Cambodia. It also showcases Royal Group’s commitment to sustainable economic development and the responsible use of resources.
