Sihanoukville governor develops two Otres Beaches to boost tourism

The Sihanoukville governor is improving two Otres Beaches to 1,746 metres long to enhance their beauty and boost tourism, according to the official website of the Ministry of Interior, released on 25 May 2020.

Mr Matt Ly, Manager of OTRES MANAGEMENT CO., LTD., reported that the development of these two Otres Beaches is to enhance the beauty of the beaches as well as attract tourists.

The project includes the renovation of the gardens and reforestation;creating areas for parking vehicles, building a pedestrian walkway, installing benches, installing an international standard food courts, constructing new bathrooms, constructing a sports ground on the beach, as well as a gym space and children’s playground.

At a meeting on the development of the two Otres Beach on 25 May 2020, H.E Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Sihanoukville province, advised the company to continue to study the beach potential for further development, starting from Sihanoukville port up to Jom Teav Mao beach, which is about 15 kilometres.

According to the official website of the Ministry of Information, authorities have now organised five beaches including Ochheuteal Beach 1&2, Otres Beach 1&2, and Jom Teav Mao Beach.
