Steady Progress: NR No. 10 Construction Reaches 83.36% Completion

The construction of NR No. 10, linking Koh Kong, Pursat, and Battambang provinces, has reached a significant milestone, with completion surpassing 83.36% as of early April. This update comes from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, announced on 10 April 2024.

According to the latest report, the project’s advancement is notable, particularly in the paving process from Koh Kong province to the Veal Veng district roundabout in Pursat province. The roadwork stands at an impressive 80.53%, with bridges reaching 86.28% completion, including a substantial 530-metre-high bridge at 128+905 km. Drainage work across the road is also progressing steadily, achieving 40%, while drainage along the road and retaining walls are at 98.19% and 87.63%, respectively.

Funded by the Chinese government, the construction of NR No. 10 comes with a total investment exceeding US$188 million. The road, designed as a paved road (DBST), with a construction period of 66 months, commenced construction on 18 December 2019, with a scheduled completion date set for June 2025. (Read more)
