TOTAL Energy Partners with MoE to Spearhead Green Investment Initiatives in Cambodia

In a strategic alliance aimed at advancing environmental sustainability, TOTAL Energy has joined forces with the Ministry of Environment (MOE) to pioneer green investment initiatives, focusing on tree planting, green space expansion, and carbon-neutral practices. The collaborative effort was underscored during a productive meeting between HE Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, and Mrs. Dinah Kumar, Country Director & Manager of Total Energy, held on the afternoon of 2 February 2024.

HE Dr Sophalleth lauded TOTAL Energy’s commitment to green investment, emphasizing the pivotal role of tree planting to enhance green spaces and uplift the local communities in the verdant enclave of Phnom Kulen Nature Reserve—a cherished recreational destination.

He accentuated the company’s responsibility in environmental stewardship, highlighting the consequential reduction of greenhouse gas emissions through tree plantation initiatives and the concurrent improvement of community livelihoods.

Simultaneously, HE Dr Sophalleth urged TOTAL Energy to champion Cambodia’s cleanliness, green initiatives, and overall sustainability, acting as a catalyst for other environmentally conscious companies to follow suit.
