CDC Approves $36.2 Million Investment in Solar Panels and Agricultural Products in three provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has recently granted registration certificates to four companies with a total investment of $36.2 million, aimed at constructing four factories in three provinces. According to the CDC, the investments are expected to boost the economy and provide job opportunities for locals.

One of the companies, “SUNFLOWER ENERGY (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD,” will invest $15.6 million to establish a factory for the production and assembly of solar panels in Kdan Roy village, Damnak Ampil commune, Ang Snoul district, Kandal province.

Another company, “JIA ZHI XIN AGRICULTURE TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD,” will invest $10.3 million to build a factory for processing and packaging agricultural products and banana plantations in Village 25, Preah Theat Commune, Ou Raing Ou District, Tbong Khmum Province.

The third company, “MENG FENG PACKAGING (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD,” will invest $5.2 million to construct a cardboard factory located along the NR 51, Stok Veng Village, Makak Commune, Ang Snoul District, Kandal Province.

The fourth company, “GREATER HEALTH PRODUCT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD,” will invest $5.1 million to establish a furniture factory in located in Trapeang Khyang village, Trapeang Tong commune, Samrong Tong district, Kampong Speu province.

As stated by the CDC, these investments will help promote the economy and the lives of local communities by providing employment opportunities and increasing the country’s production capacity. The projects are set to begin soon, and the CDC expects to see positive results from these investments in the near future.
