Various Investment Projects Worth US$95 million Approved for Four Provinces

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has recently given permits to private firms to invest a total of US$94.9 million in establishing seven factories in Phnom Penh, Kampong Speu, Sihanoukville, and Svay Rieng.

The first investment permit has been granted to TREND APPAREL CO., LTD to invest US$2 million to build a garment factory in Trapeang Mean village, Sangkat Krang Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

The second is BLINGTEX (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD, which will invest US$2.3 million to build a garment factory in Chongruk commune, Kong Pisei district, Kampong Speu province.

The third is EPIC INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD, which will invest US$3.1 million to build a shoe factory in Sangkat Chaom Chau III, Khan Pou Senchey, Phnom Penh.

The fourth investment permit has been granted to SMART SHINE GARMENT (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD to invest US$3.2 million to build a garment factory in Srang commune, Kong Pisei district, Kampong Speu province.

Jayee Furniture (Cambodia) Co., Ltd has been also granted permit to invest US$1.8 million a leather sofa, wooden sofa, and cardboard box factory in Sihanoukville SEZ.

Another investment permit has been granted to Starray Lighting (Cambodia) Enterprise Co., Ltd with the firm investing US$2.5 million to build a decorative lamp factory Svay Rieng Giga Resource SEZ.

The last permit was granted to RMKH Glove (Cambodia) Co., Ltd with the firm investing approximately US$80 million to build a glove factory in Svay Rieng Manhattan SEZ.

According to CDC, these seven aforementioned investment projects will create over 5311 jobs for Cambodians.
