Construction of Stung Bot Khmer-Thai Border Gate Delayed; Now 72% Complete

The construction of the Stung Bot Khmer-Thai Border Gate and the road connecting to NR5 will be completed later than scheduled and to date, the construction is now 72% complete, according to a meeting of the Procurement Review Commission (PRC) on 21 November.

The meeting was chaired by HE Sokhom Pheakvan Mony, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in charge of the Procurement Review Commission (PRC), with the participation of the ministry’s leadership, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and other officials.

The meeting discusses the challenges that cause construction delays, contract changes, contract delays, and wage increases for project technical inspection services, as well as requests for review of changes in construction materials prices and company exchange rates.
