CT II Invests US$92.2m in Power Substation Linking Kampong Cham to Kratie

In a pivotal decision aimed at bolstering Cambodia’s power infrastructure, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), has granted an investment project registration certificate to CAMBODIAN TRANSMISSION II CO., LTD (CT II). This significant development, announced by the CDC on 7 September 2023, will see the construction of a cutting-edge substation, facilitating the transmission of 230 kV high-voltage power from Kampong Cham to Kratie.

CT II is embarking on this ambitious venture with an investment of approximately US$92.2 million. This substantial financial commitment underscores the company’s dedication to enhancing Cambodia’s power transmission network. Upon the project’s completion, it is expected to generate employment opportunities for 464 local residents.

This transformative investment is poised to not only fortify the nation’s energy grid but also stimulate regional development.
