Ground Broken on 40-storey Chief Tower

The Chief Tower in the heart of Phnom Penh

JS Property International Co Ltd broke ground on their 40-storey Chief Tower commercial building on 21 March.

“This project will be constructed on 1265 square metres, and is a 40-storey with 5-storeys underground parking, with a total investment of US$100 million to build this commercial building,” Sales Manager of JS Property International Co., Ltd, Mr. Chheng Sovannaro told Construction & Property Magazine.

“This project is located in the heart of the city on the corner of St. 322 in front of Chip Mong Mall, on Monivong Boulevard, Boeung Keng Kang 1 and Chamkamorn District, Chief Tower is 40-storeys. This tower will become the highest building in Chamkamorn District after construction is completed in 2023,” he added.

The 158-metre tall building will comprise of commercial units, hotels, clubs, fitness centres, restaurants and other entertainment facilities and an automated 5-storey underground car parking system.

The project is a joint venture between JS Property International Co Ltd and Chief Real Estate development (Cambodia) Ltd, which is incorporated with foreign partners in Cambodia, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

According to HE Leang Monithrith, Secretary of State, Ministry of Land Management Urban Planning and Construction, this project will create a good impression of the infrastructure in Phnom Penh, and it reflected the belief of investors in Cambodia’s economic strength in the construction and property sector.
