Hong Kong-Based SUNWAH Group Mulls Investing in Real Estate Sector in SHV

The Sihanoukville provincial administration has expressed its full support to Hong Kong-based SUNWAH Group which intends to invest in the real estate sector in Sihanoukville, as company representatives are currently exploring investment potential in the province.

The investment plan was unveiled during the meeting between Sihanoukville Governor HE Kouch Chamroeun and Director of SUNWAH Mr Jason Choi on Thursday 17 February.

Mr Jason Choi said that SUNWAH has invested in real estate around the world including Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Japan, Canada, among others.

In the future, the company also intends to invest in the real estate sector in Sihanoukville, which a new market expansion for the firm.

In response, HE Kouch Chamroeun welcomed the investment plan but urged the firm to study carefully.

The Cambodian government is currently working on a mega plan for turning Sihanoukville into a multi-purpose model special economic zone and a financial city, rivalling China’s Shenzen.

The government has also set up special inter-ministerial working groups to implement this project. (Read more and more)
