Major Infrastructure Development Takes Shape in Kandal Province

The China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) is swiftly constructing a temporary steel bridge in Kandal province to facilitate drilling for a vital clay-stone bridge. HE Phorn Rim, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport spokesman, confirmed that this project aims to improve connectivity between the eastern outskirts of Phnom Penh and Xi Jinping Boulevard.

Spanning 1,600 meters in length and 26 meters in width, the clay-stone bridge will include a 2,100-meter road and features like an interchange and two underpasses to optimize traffic flow. Construction began on June 7, 2023, and is expected to last 48 months, targeting completion by the end of 2027. (Read more)
